🔔 CIP-0105 has been approved. The SV Locking & Long-Term Commitment Framework introduces a voluntary, on-chain mechanism for Super Validators to demonstrate long-term alignment with @CantonNetwork. SVs may elect to lock a portion of their lifetime earned $CC rewards, the more they lock, the greater their forward SV Weight. Unlocks vest gradually over 365 days. The framework applies uniformly to all Super Validators! As Canton becomes increasingly visible to external markets, reputation alone is insufficient. CIP-0105 replaces reputational assurances with cryptographic proof of alignment, ensuring that governance influence accrues to those most committed to Canton's long-term success. Full proposal 👇
