Today I officially released my 8th vibe product,
nkmc is a unified gateway and CLI tool designed for AI agents, operating 5 Unix-like commands, allowing agents to access all APIs on the internet. If WebMCP defines how agents mimic human web usage, then nkmc attempts to describe what the internet really is to agents.
$ nkmc ls / # List all APIs
$ nkmc ls /api.github.com/ # Browse GitHub's API
$ nkmc grep "deploy" # Cross-service search
$ nkmc cat /api.github.com/skill.md # Read API specifications
$ nkmc write /discord.com/channels/xxx/messages '{"content":"Hello!"}' # Write data
$ nkmc rm /api.github.com/xxx/comments/42 # Delete data
Agents do not need to register accounts, load MCP, or understand various OAuth processes. A single JWT handles all API requests, reducing 90% of the API request token context.
The beta version launched today supports APIs from 40 services, approximately ten thousand API endpoints, covering various fields such as development tools, cloud and deployment, AI and machine learning, communication, databases, and blockchain.
nkmc also supports automatically helping agents manage API service keys, with support for local storage, third-party secure vault storage via shipkey, and nkmc key store cloud storage, offering three different automatic management methods.
In addition, nkmc solves a problem: your API already has human users, but agents cannot use it because they cannot bypass OAuth or user sessions on their own.
The nkmc CLI allows you to integrate APIs into the agent ecosystem in 3 minutes:
1. npx @ nkmc/cli init — Automatically detect the framework
2. nkmc claim — DNS verification of the domain
3. nkmc generate --register — Generate and register
4. Reference the nkmc SDK for agent authentication
After that, AI agents worldwide can discover and call your API through the nkmc gateway, helping you quickly convert products designed for human users into services designed for agents. In the future, the nkmc gateway will also integrate automated payment systems for API pricing, x402 API payments, etc., directly transforming agent API calls into developer income.
The term nkmc is derived from the Japanese word nakamichi (中道), representing my vision for the next generation of the internet. If in the future, a large number of AI agents act on our behalf to access the internet and handle complex daily tasks, including information and even financial operations, will we still need interfaces, complex UIs, and apps? I’m not sure, but there’s no doubt that this is a very interesting future.
